Sledgehammer-wielding burglars break into T-Mobile

Claremont police are looking for two suspects who smashed the front glass door of a T-Mobile with a sledgehammer early Tuesday morning.

Just after 2 a.m., an officer on routine patrol noticed the door of the cell phone store—located on the 400 block of Auto Center Drive —was shattered, according to a release from the Claremont Police Department. The business had been burglarized, and surveillance footage showed two men in hoodies standing in front of the store.

In the footage, one of the men smashes the door with the sledgehammer before the two enter the store. An unknown amount of electronics and cell phones were stolen in the burglary, police said.

The two men fled in an awaiting vehicle, which was described as a white 2-door sedan with black wheels.

The first suspect is described as a light-skinned man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, grey pants and red gloves. The second suspect is described as a man wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes and white gloves.
