Foothill Philharmonic welcomes KUSC host to Claremont

Claremont United Methodist Church, at 211 W. Foothill Blvd., is the site for a lecture and musical event by well-known classical music producer, radio host and teacher Alan Chapman. The February 25, 2 p.m. event “Two Weeks in Siberia,” is presented by the Foothill Philharmonic Committee.

Mr. Chapman’s multimedia presentation will recount his experiences as a member of the piano jury for the International Young Tchaikovsky Competition, and will include performances by some of the competitors, with the audience having a chance to pick their own winners.

Mr. Chapman is a producer and host at KUSC, a preconcert speaker for the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Pacific Symphony, the Los Angeles Master Chorale, and other organizations, and is a faculty member at Colburn Conservatory.
