Four burglars break into two Auto Center Drive businesses

Police are looking for four suspects who were seen burglarizing two Claremont businesses overnight.

Just after 1 a.m., the burglars smashed the front glass at Luscious Nails and Sweet Swirl, two businesses that are next to each other at 450 Auto Center Drive, according to a release from the Claremont Police Department.

No cash was taken from both businesses, police said, because they left their cash registers open and empty. The burglars were in and out within 30 seconds, police said.

Surveillance footage at Sweet Swirl captured the four suspects on camera. They all appear to be male, of unknown race and unknown age, about five feet, ten inches tall to six feet tall with medium builds.

All four suspects were wearing hooded sweatshirts with their hoods up and covering their faces, police said. No vehicle was seen in the footage.

This is the second time in a few months both businesses have been burglarized. The first occurred in December 2017, according to a previous COURIER report. Sweet Swirl was also burglarized in June 2017.

Police are asking nearby businesses to review their surveillance footage for the suspect vehicle around the 1:10 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. time frame. Anyone with information should call the Claremont Police Department at (909) 399-5411.
