There are new restaurants coming to Claremont

Gus’s Barbeque is continuing renovation of its new space in the northeast corner of the Packing House on First Street. Gus’s Barbeque has been in operation in South Pasadena since 1946, making it one of LA County’s oldest barbeque places. They anticipate to be open in late May or early June.

Another newcomer to Claremont is Dog Haus, a gourmet hot dog restaurant that will be located in the newly-constructed Sycamore Hills center off of Base Line Road, east of Monte Vista Avenue.

With locations across Southern California, Dog Haus offers all beef Haus dogs and hand-crafted Haus sausages. Dog Haus will have an outdoor seating area, featuring games such as ping pong and cornhole. It should be open in July.

The final new eatery is The Poke Co in the Village. The Poke Co serves fresh poke bowls at 363 W. Bonita Ave., which was formerly occupied by La Olla Mexican Grill.
