Cool temps, clouds for remainder of the week

The Claremont area has been center stage for classic June gloom type conditions with clouds, drizzle and rain most of the day. The temperature will eventually increase to around 70 degrees later in the afternoon, with a mix of clouds and sun. Such was the case around the Base Line Road exit for the 210 freeway Monday, as sunshine and shade dotted the landscape. In the background on the other side of the freeway, is the new Whole Foods 365 shopping center nearing completion. The store will officially open on Thursday, May 30. Claremont’s weather will have below normal temperatures all this week, with highs around 70 and lows in the 50s. Clouds will rule the day, also including light rain north closer to the mountains.
