Have something to say? Take part in the annual Speakers’ Corner on the Fourth

The T. Willard Hunter Speakers’ Corner is a treasured event at Claremont’s Independence Day celebration. In honor of our country’s First Amendment, Speakers Corner provides a forum for residents in our community to speak about almost any subject from personal to global.

Past speeches have focused on literature, politics, religion, history, travel and personal fulfillment. Age is no barrier. Previous orators have ranged in age from five to more than 80 years old. Speakers’ time slots between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis and must be pre-arranged.

There are only three rules: no profanity, no nudity and no touting of commercial products or services.

To sign up, contact committee members Karen Rosenthal at karen.kmr@icloud.com or (909) 576-7230 or Marty Amaro at martyamaro@icloud.com.
