Routine traffic stop yields a lot more after car search
On Thursday, July 12 a South Gate woman was arrested after a routine traffic stop unveiled an apparent credit card theft operation. Police puled over a car driven by 29-year-old Charlene Dix-Arnott around 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of Towne Avenue and Alvarado Street for expired registration. Ms. Dix-Arnott was driving without a license, and a further check of her car allegedly revealed numerous gift cards, blank credit cards and a binder full of credit card numbers. She was arrested for possession of unlawful credit card information and taken to CPD jail.
