Customers who came over to Yiannis last Sunday for their last meal at the restaurant were surprised to learn it’s going to be open through Sunday, August 5. Because of the incredible outpouring of support after the COURIER story about the restaurant last week, owner Greg Gianakos decided to stay open another week to connect with the customers who supported the establishment for decades. You may even see other family members including Greg’s mother Stella who helped open Yiannis was back in 1962, see photo. Also included is Stella’s other son Jim, who teamed up with Greg for years to serve those one-of-a-kind Greek dishes. So you still have a chance to say goodbye. We will see you all there!
