Fun in the park with National Night Out
There was plenty of fun in the hot sun on Tuesday during National Night Out in Memorial Park. The annual event, which is held at various locations across the country, serves as an open house for the Claremont Police Department and an opportunity for the community to interact with officers. It featured displays of police and fire fighting equipment, informational booths, and the ever popular free In-N-Out burgers. The evening also included an opportunity to “dunk a cop” in the dunk tank and the screening of Despicable Me III. The popular “dunk a cop” booth was part of CPD’s ongoing pink ribbon campaign with all money going to The City Of Hope. COURIER photo/Steven Felschundneff
