Claremont public library to reopen after renovations

The Claremont public library will move back to the Village on Monday, November 26 at 10 a.m. The newly-renovated library will reopen at 208 N. Harvard Ave. after being at its temporary location, the Hughes Center, for many months.

Library patrons are invited to enjoy programming throughout the day for kids, teens and adults. The library project included renovations to the public restrooms, adult area and circulation area, the installation of a new HVAC system and a new gender-neutral/family restroom.

The project also included the resurfacing of the parking lot and planting of drought-tolerant landscaping.

The temporary library at the Hughes Center will remain open through Saturday, November 17. Holds not picked up by November 17 will be available for pickup at the newly opened Claremont library on Monday, November 26.

The Claremont library hours will be Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
