So long sun, hello winter storm

Clear skies and pretty sunsets are gone as heavy rain rules in the Claremont area today. And a series of winter storms really will not clear our until late Thursday. Tuesday will have more hit and miss rain showers, but on Wednesday and Thursday heavy rain will return. The entire system could drop up to four inches of rain depending where you live. So needless to say, it will be wet out there this week with high temperatures hanging steady in the 50s. For the San Gabriel mountains, heavy snow will fall, but at higher elevations over 7000 feet. Snow totals could hit two feet at the Mt. Baldy Notch and ski area. COURIER photo/Peter Weinberger
