Winter weather is gone, but cold weather will remain-see video

The temperature in Claremont didn’t even reach 50 degrees on Tuesday. That’s pretty rare for our hot Southern California town. The good news is the series of storms that brought us rain over the past four days moved east, giving us that clear, cold weather. But there’s also a lot of water

runoff from the San Gabriel mountains and will only be increasing given the couple feet of snow that fell on the Mt. Baldy area—see video. Be sure to check road conditions before driving to any mountain area. For the remainder of the week expect high temperatures on in the 50s, with lows in the upper 30s. Even with a chance of rain Sunday, next week will remain partly sunny, with highs barely reaching 60 degrees. Oh yes, another weather system is scheduled to arrive by Wednesday next week.
