Police looking for male duo attempting the burglarize homes

On Monday, January 28 police were looking for two suspects who burglarized two homes in north Claremont. Around 3 p.m., a resident on the 800 block of Base Line Road told police that he heard someone knock on her door and then a window breaking, the Claremont Police Department said. The suspect saw the resident, who was still inside the house, and fled to an awaiting black Ford Focus with black rims. There was no property loss.

Roughly 30 minutes later, a resident on the 400 block of Holyoke Place called the police advising that his house may have been burglarized due to receiving multiple email notifications from his “NEST” security system, police said. The footage shows that around 2:10 p.m., two suspects used a large rock to smash the French door window of the home. It is unknown what was taken from the house.

Police determined that the same suspects were responsible for both incidents, and were also seen on the 600 block of Sage Street and on St. John Place. The first suspect is described as a light-skinned African-American man in his early 20s, five feet, ten inches tall, with a thin build, wearing a long-sleeve white t-shirt with “Key West, Florida” on the back, black pants, a thin mustache and short hair. The second suspect is described as an African-American man, six feet, three inches tall with an average build, wearing a distinct yellow and blue jacket and blue jeans.

The same duo is believed to be responsible for an attempted burglary on the 1000 block of Armadillo Drive, police said.

Their car was described as an older model black Ford Focus four-door with black rims. Anyone with information should call the Claremont Police Department at (909) 399-5411.
