Injured owl rescued along Thompson Creek Trail

While taking his stroll along Thompson Creek Trail this week, Claremonter James Brake happened upon a group of landscape workers gathered around some brush.

One of the workers had spotted an owl on the ground, tried to catch it, when the owl tried to hide.

“The head worker had a soft spot for animals, donned his gloves, and went in to fetch it,”?Mr. Brake shared. “Once captured, the crew placed it in a small backpack.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Brake called a friend and member of the Audubon Society, who took the bird to a rescue facility in San Dimas where it received treatment for a badly damaged wing.
