Rare storm drops snow down to 2500 feet

With a backdrop of freshly fallen snow a lone hiker on braves the cold on Thursday on the Thompson Creek Trail in North Claremont. A quick winter storm blew through the area on Thursday bringing snow flurries, gusty winds and cold temperatures. The surprise snow does have a silver lining for those who are weary of winter because there are no storms forecast for the next week. COURIER photo/Steven Felschundneff
