Armed robbers target Sprint Store in Claremont
Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Sprint Store.
On Saturday, March 2 at 7:23 p.m., two suspects, one armed with a handgun, entered the Sprint Store at 442 Auto Center Drive and ordered the two female employees into the back employee room, police said.
Once there, the robbers demanded the employees open two safes. The employees were then forced to lie on the ground while one robber loaded a black duffel bag with stolen merchandise and an unknown amount of cash. Electronic devices stolen included iPads, cell phones and Apple watches, police said.
The suspects then fled through the rear emergency exit of the business.
The first suspect was described as an African-American man in his 30s, five feet, eight inches tall wearing a black hat, a blue zip-up sweatshirt with a hood, wearing grey gloves, black pants and black shoes. He was also reportedly holding a black semi-automatic handgun, police added.
The second suspect was described as an African-American man in his 30s, five feet, 11 inches tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a shite shirt underneath, black pants, black gloves and carrying a large black duffel bag.
