Pics and Pies event to benefit Claremont Community Foundation

The Claremont Film Festival will host an evening of short films and film experts beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 21 at 1525 W. 13th St., Upland. Guests will be treated to tasty treats. The event benefits the Claremont Community Foundation as part of the foundation’s Party Parade, which supports the work of deserving organizations in Claremont.

The event will feature films along with presentations by film composer Michael O’Neill, filmmaker Eshaana Sheth and makeup artist Alex Galaviz.

Mr. O’Neill is a composer and producer with over three decades of experience at the highest levels of the music industry. He has composed music for dozens of TV shows and films. As a guitarist he has played on projects with such artists as George Benson and Al Jarreau.

Ms. Sheth is a first-generation Indian American writer, director and actress. Currently based in Los Angeles, she previously lived in New York City, where she studied at Barnard College of Columbia University.

Mr. Galaviz has provided his makeup artistry for many film projects. He will demonstrate his craft at the event.
