The Chamber of Commerce, the Village Marketing Group and the city kick off its Friday Nights Live music series tonight.

The series runs May to October, with local bands offering live performances at the Laemmle plaza, the Chamber of Commerce, city hall and Shelton Park. Bands for May are:

—Friday, May 10: Soulshine at Laemmle plaza; Ana Maria de la Cruz at the chamber; Jazz City at Shelton Park; Dzuls at city hall.

—May 17: Amazing Tone Benders at Laemmle plaza; Larry and Rhonda Jackson’s Small Town Magic at the chamber; The Dogs at Shelton Park; Honeybuckets at city hall.

—May 24: Claremont Voodoo Society at Laemmle plaza; Adrienne Selina at the chamber; Mike Taylor Quartet at Shelton Park; Cal Poly Pomona’s Kappa Kappa Psi at city hall.

—Friday, May 31: Dynamite Dawson at Laemmle plaza; Mike’s Guitar World at the chamber; Lightning Dan and the Crawdads at Shelton Park; Mojave Beach Band at city hall.
