Join the 2019 California redistricting commission

As the 2020 federal census approaches, the state auditor’s office will be forming California’s 2020 Citizens Redistricting Commission, a 14-member commission that will redraw boundaries for the congressional, state senate, state assembly and state board of equalization districts.

California must redraw the boundaries every 10 years to reflect the new federal census population data.

The open application period will begin June 10 and will run through August 9. Citizens can apply at shapecaliforniasfuture.auditor.ca.gov.
