Three arrested following robbery at Claremont Pharmacy

Three suspected robbers were arrested following a hold-up at Claremont Pharmacy on Saturday.

Around 11:09 a.m., Claremont police responded to the local pharmacy on the 300 block of south Indian Hill Boulevard regarding three suspects observed running into the business wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks, police said.

Police later determined an armed robbery had occurred at the pharmacy.

Officers saw the suspects’ car as it was leaving, and a pursuit ensued, ending at the on-ramp of the westbound 10 freeway at Vinton Avenue in Pomona. The three people in the car tried to flee on foot but were captured a short distance away, police said.

A loaded 9mm handgun, reportedly stolen from a home burglary in Gardena, was found at the scene, along with items stolen from the pharmacy.

Arrested were Dominiqe Dewann Thompson, 30 from Compton, on suspicion of armed robbery, kidnapping, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance; 34-year-old Curtis Wayne Houston of Compton on suspicion of armed robbery, kidnapping, vehicle pursuit, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance; and 30-year-old Eugene Darryl Halcromb of Compton on suspicion of armed robbery, kidnapping, resisting arrest, possession of a stolen gun and possession of a controlled substance.
