Mostly Macbeth leads off second weekend of Midsummer Shakespeare Festival

Lady Macbeth, played by Aileen Hanoum, delivers the famous “out damn spot” line from William Shakespeare’s Macbeth during Ophelia’s Jump production of an adapted version of the play called Mostly Macbeth, on Tuesday at Pomona College’s Sontag Greek Theater. The play, which was adapted by Caitlin Lopez, is the culmination of the Summer Shakespeare Camp for students age 10-14, and is part of the Midsummer Shakespeare Festival. Mostly Macbeth will be presented one more time, tonight at 7:30 p.m. at $15 which is half of the regular price. The second week of the main festival runs Thursday through Sunday, with productions of Taming of the Shrew and Pericles, Prince of Tyre. More information is at opheliasjump.org.
