Residents come home to burglary in progress as suspects flee
Police are investigating a burglary that occurred on Thursday, July 18 at the 2000 block of Mountain Avenue in Claraboya. The residents were returning home around 8:30 p.m. when they saw three suspects fleeing their side yard into an awaiting car parked down the street, police said. A search of the vehicle came up nothing. Officers found the home’s sliding glass door was shattered, with multiple rooms ransacked. Jewelry and watches were taken from the residence, Lt. Walters said. The three suspects have been described as African-American men, six feet tall with thin builds and wearing black hooded sweatshirts.
