Man accused of pharmacy, nail salon breaks-ins arrested at Fontana home

Claremont police arrested a man suspected of burglarizing two Village businesses last month.

On Tuesday, August 6 around 3 p.m., Claremont detectives responded to the 14000 block of Elizabeth Court in Fontana and conducted surveillance at the home of 47-year-old Marcus Doperoy, police said.

When Mr. Doperoy was seen leaving the location, detectives conducted an enforcement stop and he was arrested without incident.

Mr. Doperoy is accused of burglarizing Hendricks Pharmacy on July 1 and Hands Down Too on July 29. In both break-ins, lottery tickets were stolen.

Evidence related to the burglaries was recovered at the scene and at Mr. Doperoy’s residence, police said.

He was booked at the Claremont Police Department jail on suspicion of commercial burglary, where he later posted bond and was released pending a future court date.
