Four polling locations, vote-by-mail option for Tuesday’s election

There are only four polling locations for this election, and they may differ from your usual voting place.

Check the back of your sample ballot, use the polling location finder on the county website at lavote.net, or contact the city clerk’s office at (909) 399-5461 or (909) 399-5463 to find your polling place. Polling locations will open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5.

The four locations are the Alexander Hughes Community Center at 1700 Danbury Rd.; Fire Station 62 at 3701 N. Mills Ave.; Pomona College Smith Campus Center, Edmunds Ballroom at 170 E. Sixth St.; and Vista Del Valle Elementary School at 550 Vista Dr.

To address parking constraints at Pomona College, the parking lot west of Edmunds Ballroom on Sixth Street (just east of College Avenue) will be reserved for voters. Additionally, Dial-A-Ride will provide transportation from the Joslyn Center to Edmunds Ballroom from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Election Day. The shuttle will be on a continuous loop and will take approximately 20 minutes.

If you arrive at a poll and are not on the roster, you are entitled to vote provisionally at any location.

Claremont residents can drop off completed vote-by-mail (VBM) ballots at the Hughes Center Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The ballot box will be available until 4:30 p.m. on Election Day. VBM ballots postmarked by Election Day, and received by the county no later than Friday, November 8, will be included in the count.
