World War II veteran Chuck Farritor salutes the American flag held by Boy Scouts Joshua Ward and Phillip Quintanar on Monday during Veteran’s Day observance in Memorial Park. The annual event is co-sponsored by the city of Claremont and the American Legion Keith Powell Post 78. The half hour long observance featured speeches by local elected officials, the presentation of plaque honoring Post 78, and the playing of taps.
