Claremont church’s Nativity scene in the news

The Claremont United Methodist Church on Foothill Boulevard has once again made national news with a compelling interpretation of a Nativity scene with refugees Jesus, Mary and Joseph separated in cages. This is in protest of President Trump’s border separation policies. I counted three TV trucks waiting outside for the Sunday evening newscasts. And, of course, there is a more traditional Nativity inside the church with the family together. The COURIER will have a follow-up story on our website Monday. COURIER photyo/Peter Weinberger
