Repeat sex offender sentenced to four months in jail, again

A local transient and sex offender has been sentenced to 120 days in jail for making lewd comments to a teenage pizza shop employee.

Javier Sanchez, 26, was sentenced Wednesday, December 11 to 120 days in jail for annoying or molesting a child and an additional 90 days for a probation violation, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.

Mr. Sanchez was in Blaze Pizza around 12:30 p.m. on November 27 when he said, “What’s up bitch?” and “S**k my d**k bitch” to a 16-year-old girl who worked at the restaurant, Claremont police said. Mr. Sanchez left before police could arrive, but he was arrested on December 5 and charged with the offense.

Mr. Sanchez had been released from jail just a day before the incident occurred for a November 21 indecent exposure arrest, after he was seen masturbating in front of the Claremont Library. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail on November 25 for that offense, but was released a day later due to jail overcrowding, Claremont police said.

Mr. Sanchez was also convicted of sexual battery in February of this year after he grabbed the buttocks of a woman who was walking near College Avenue and Fourth Street. In that case, he was required to register as a sex offender.

He will be released from jail on March 8, 2020, according to Los Angeles County inmate records.
