City hall hours, services amended for holiday season
City hall will be closed, and city services suspended except for trash pick up, through Sunday, January 5 in observance of the holiday season. Regular operating hours will resume Monday, January 6 at 9 a.m.
Activities, programs and services at the Joslyn Senior Center and the Hughes Community Center will return Monday, January 6.
The Joslyn and Blaisdell Centers will offer senior meal service on the following dates:
• Friday, December 26 and 27, and Monday, December 30: Hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with lunch at 11:30 a.m. at the Joslyn, and noon at Blaisdell.
• Tuesday, December 31: Open from 9 a.m. to noon, with brunch at 10:30 a.m. at the Joslyn, and at 11 a.m. at Blaisdell.
• Thursday and Friday, January 2 and 3:?Hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with lunch at 11:30 a.m. at the Joslyn and at noon at Blaisdell.
• Both senior centers will be closed entirely on Wednesday, December 25 and Wednesday, January 1.
Christmas tree pick-up
Christmas trees may be put out for pick-up on your regular trash day from January 6 through 17, 2020. All ornaments, lights and tinsel need to be removed prior to pick-up. Please remove the stand and do not bag the tree.
Residents can place the bare tree at the curb by 6 a.m. on their regular trash collection day. Trees over six feet tall must be cut in half. For information, contact community Services at (909) 399-5431.
Free pass on overnight parking for New Year’s
The city will not enforce overnight parking violations on January 1 and 2 from 2 to 6 a.m.
