Today is a ‘Super Tuesday’

Pomona resident Janet Miller helps Claremonter Jeff Davis with the new voting machines on Monday at the Claremont Helen Renwick Library. Polling centers are open today, Election Day, until 8 p.m. and registered voters can go to any center not just the one closest to their home.

Locations in Claremont include: Claremont Center for Spiritual Living, 509 South College Ave.; Claremont Helen Renwick Library208 Harvard Ave.; Joslyn Senior Center, 660 N Mountain Ave.; Oakmont Elementary School, 120 West Green St.; Taylor Hall 1775 North Indian Hill Blvd. and Vista del Valle Elementary School 514 Bucknell Ave.

This was the first California election where voters could cast their ballots early and the first with the new touch screen voting machines. According to poll workers the new machines worked well and were largely well received by the public.
