CHS grad dies before coronavirus test results are completed

Natasha Ott, a former Claremont High School graduate from the class of 2000, passed away before learning the results of her test for the coronavirus. Ms. Ott, who had been living in New Orleans for the past five years, decided to wait to take the test until she developed a fever. When she finally did take the test a week later, it was too late. Within four days after the test, she collapsed and passed away in her kitchen. Ms. Ott waited due to a severe shortage of test kits for patients at the clinic where she worked. Her photo is from the 2000 CHS yearbook.
