Police have arrested two men for an alleged assault early Saturday morning, according to a news release from the Claremont Police Department.

At approximately 12:17 a.m. officers responded to a report that an assault with a deadly weapon had just occurred in the area of Indian Hill Boulevard and Mt. Carmel Drive. Officers located an unidentified victim who was bleeding profusely from the neck from apparent stab wounds.

While being treated by Los Angeles County Fire personnel, the victim expressed having just met the suspects and stated that they were hanging out in a vehicle when a fight erupted and the victim was assaulted. The victim said that the suspects were still in the immediate area.

During a search of the area, the two suspects were located and detained without incident. Evidence was located on their persons and inside of the vehicle, which corroborated the victim’s statement.

The suspects Francisco Ibarra, 20, of Pomona and Ezekiel Hensley, 20, of Oceanside, were both arrested and booked into the Claremont jail. Both were held lieu of $30,000.00 bail and will be arraigned in Pomona Superior Court on April 7.
