Claremont police arrest attempted murder suspect

Isaias Reyes-Moreno, 26, from Montclair was booked into the Claremont Police Department jail Thursday for attempted murder in a shooting that took place two weeks ago.

On March 16, at about 6:15 p.m., Claremont police officers responded to the 100 block of Meredith Street regarding a shooting investigation. Claremont detectives were able to identify a suspect and the car driven during the crime. After conducting surveillance for the last three days, police, with the assistance of LA Impact, gathered enough evidence to arrest Mr. Reyes-Moreno for the crime. He was found near Kingsley Avenue and Monte Vista Avenue in Montclair and was arrested for attempted murder. Police said he had a loaded 9mm handgun, which they believe was used in the crime March 16. Two search warrants served on residences in Montclair and La Verne allowed officers to gather more evidence.

Mr. Reyes-Moreno was held in lieu of $2,000,000 and was to appear at the Pomona Superior Court on Friday, April 3.
