Join in a virtual Earth Day celebration
Local members of the Citizens Climate Lobby are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Earth Day by inviting the public to view an educational conference via Zoom at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25. To connect, go to www.cclusa.org/earthday.
The event will include a presentation by atmospheric scientist and professor of political science at Texas Tech University, Katharine Hayhoe. Following Ms. Hayhoe’s talk, Braver Angels will provide suggestions for quick actions to address climate change, many of which can be implemented from home while under Covid-19 quarantine.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. participants may attend one of four optional workshops.
“Those of us in the Inland Valley Citizen’s Climate Lobby’s local chapter, have found CCL to be an excellent educational, action oriented, and effective organization in addressing climate change on a national level,” said Penelope Mann, co-chair of the IVCCL chapter.
