Boy hit by truck in Claremont Village

Emergency personnel attend to a teenager who was struck by a vehicle on Monday in the Claremont Village. According to witnesses at the scene the boy had picked up his skateboard and was crossing Indian Hill Boulevard at Second street just before 4 p.m. when a red Ford F-150 traveling south struck the youth. The boy was flung several yards down the street and was narrowly missed by other vehicles traveling south on Indian Hill. He was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center  The driver was not injured and remained on scene and was cooperating with authorities. COURIER photo/Steven Felschundneff
