Fire in the sky

The setting sun takes on a deep red color as it is filtered through the smoke of the Bobcat fire currently burning in the hills above Azusa on Sunday. The fire is one of many burning throughout the state of California at the tail end of a record breaking heat wave. According to the Los Angels Times record high temperatures were recorded throughout the southland on Saturday including 120 degrees in Chino and 118 in Ontario. The forecast is for continued warm weather for the foreseeable future, however, highs will only be in the mid to upper 90s. COURIER photo/Steven Felschundneff
