Light traffic at Claremont polls

The polling place at Taylor Hall at Claremont High School was busy in the morning, but only light traffic until closing at 8 p.m. Claremont may of had a light voter turnout Tuesday, but plenty of residents still sent in their ballots. Because over 100 million Americans voted early this year, Election Day turnout in the City of Trees was lower this year. That’s a good thing considering the turnout in this election was the largest ever. As of 9:02 p.m., Claremont city council and school board results have still not been counted and won’t be until late tonight. COURIER photo/Peter Weinberger
