Church’s Nativity homage to Black lives

The Claremont United Methodist Church’s Nativity scene for 2020 shows the Holy Family posed against a backdrop of masked protesters symbolizing the church’s solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. The church has a tradition for creating Nativities that tie the story of Jesus birth to current events including one last year that showed the Holy Family confined to separate cages.
