Winter storm passes, weekend warming up

As the sun finally fell Thursday as seen from Base Line Road, it didn’t take long for this active weather system to blow through the area leaving slippery roads and plenty of new snow in the mountains. The good news is the weather will warm and the sun will shine this weekend as high temperatures will reach the mid-60s. But another storm system is on the way and should arrive by Tuesday, but will not be a huge rainmaker. High temperatures will cool down again to the 50s. COURIER photo/Peter Weinberger
