CHS Theatre presents one act plays at festival

Claremont High School Theatre Department presents its annual Student Directed One Act Play Festival, Friday and Saturday, February 26 and 27.

The virtual festival, which will be webcast, features three shows, “Bad Auditions by Bad Actors,” written by Ian McWethy, “I Don’t Want to Talk About It,” and “Selfie,” by Bradley Hayward.

“Selfie” tells the story of problems a group of teens face throughout their senior year as they each try to find who they truly are. It is directed by Miriam Clement Y Caridad.

“I Don’t Want to Talk About It,” directed by Cayla Crilly, details the gritty trials and tribulations of being a teenager, the ones that are generally kept a secret.

Ian McWethy’s “Bad Auditions by Bad Actors” is a comedy that follows a director on a mission to cast a production of “Romeo and Juliet” in just one day. It’s director is Kyle Marshall.
