CHS Theatre premieres ‘Distance Learning’

Claremont High Theatre Department performs the high school premiere of “Distance Learning,” by Carey Crim, streaming any time March 18, 19 or 20.

Admission is $10 and tickets are available at https://www.showstreamr.com/school/claremont-high-school, or by calling (909) 624-9053, extension 30463.

“This brand new play brings the audience into the Zoom room as the class of 2020 and their English teacher face distance learning for the first time,” read a CHS Theater Department press release. “Isolation, anxiety, family dynamics, and Black Lives Matter protests are all explored as the students and adults learn to connect and communicate across a screen.”

Some of the language in “Distance Learning” is not suitable for young audiences.

The play is CHS Theater’s annual extracurricular show and will be guest directed by J. Jason Daunter. Mr. Daunter has a long Broadway resume, most recently as production stage manager for the Broadway production of To Kill a Mockingbird.
