Claremont’s Egg-stravaganza

Before the COVID-19 pandemic suspended the city’s annual Spring Eggstravaganza last year, the event was widely known in and around Claremont as a fun egg hunt for kids and families.
Now as Claremont attempts to return to some level of normalcy in 2021, the city has renewed the Easter event with a focus on drive-thru goodies. And don’t worry, the bunnies will still be there.
By transforming the parking lot at the Alexander Hughes Community Center, the city’s Human Services Department will host a drive-thru style egg giveaway filled with candy, eggs and golden-egg prizes.
That’s right, if you find a golden egg in your goodie bag, you could win a special prize!
With the help of Mr. and Mrs. Bunny, this free event will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 3. Goodie bag distribution will last until 11:00 a.m. or until supplies run out.
The event will be safe and socially distant according to a news release. All participants must wear masks and remain in their vehicles at all times. No walk-up participants will be allowed.
For more information about the route or the event, head over to the city’s website at claremontca.org or call (909) 399-5490.
