Brothers graduate one day, 1600 miles apart

Nicholas and Oliver Phelps, sons of Kathy Phelps of Claremont and Reed Phelps of Upland, both graduated in May, one day and 1600 miles apart.

Nicholas graduated on May 19 at 3 p.m. from McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts with dual master’s degrees: master of business administration and master of science in information technology. He is employed at Biogen Idec in Boston.

Oliver graduated the next morning at 7:30 a.m. from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, with a bachelor’s in environmental studies. He is employed at Integrated Resource Management in Claremont as a researcher/site supervisor and mediator.

Both graduations were attended by their parents; brother Cameron who is attending Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas; sister Elizabeth who is a senior at Claremont High School; maternal grandparents Hal and Carolyn Haynes of Claremont, and paternal grandmother Dee Phelps of Upland.
