Pomona College resumes Fourth Street construction

Starting this week, Fourth Street between College Avenue and College Way will be blocked off to cars as construction resumes on the Pomona College campus.

Now through mid-August, construction crews will be working on the second phase of the college’s Fourth Street/Marston Quadrangle Pedestrian Walkways Project. Plans include removing asphalt on Fourth Street and installing pavers system to serve as a “pedestrian walkway and managed roadway,” according to college officials. Demolition began on Wednesday, May 22.

Though car access will be restricted, pedestrians access to Bridges Auditorium, Bridges Hall of Music and Thatcher Hall will remain throughout the project.
