All city offices will be closed this Monday, May 27, in honor of Memorial Day. Because of the holiday, regular trash collection will also be delayed by one day. Those who regularly put out their trash containers on Thursday are asked to put containers out by Friday, May 31 at 6 a.m. instead.

Residents are invited to commemorate Memorial Day on Monday with a special service to be held at Oak Park Cemetery, 410 Sycamore Ave., beginning at 11 a.m. Members of the American Legion Post 78, Mayor Opanyi Nasiali and various community members will take part in the special ceremony honoring the men and women who have lost their lives in military service.
