Sometime between the evening of Sunday, July 28 and the morning of Tuesday, July 30 the “Private Parking Only” sign that had been behind the Folk Music Center on Yale Avenue for 47 years (bequeathed by the hardware store where the sign had resided for at least 20 years in the same place before that) was stolen. The old Mobile Oil sign, seen in the photograph with Dorothy Chase, had been painted over. A reward is being offered for its return. No questions asked.
