Sleepy moon at sunset

The moon was an easy sight to notice right after sunset Monday as seen here from Moab Drive in Claremont. Because a full moon always rises at sunset, another sighting is due after 7:09 p.m. tonight. The sky clearly will be darker because each moonrise occurs 50 minutes later than the previous day. Weather for this week will remain hot, sunny and summerlike, with highs around 90, and lows in the 60s. COURIER photo/Peter Weinberger
