A 103 degrees today and counting

Late afternoon cloud cover Thursday brought little relief to the 100 degree temperatures today in Claremont and the valley. The heat produced storm clouds that hovered over the towers on top of Iron Mountain to the north, but little rain was seen anywhere. The good news is daytime temperatures should drop to around 90 degrees this Labor Day weekend. COURIER photo/Peter Weinberger
