Long and winding road

For those who use the 5-mile loop trail in the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park, the road will be well groomed for hikers and bikers. But hikers can also expect steep winding hills that go up over 1000 feet in elevation. The views of the valley can be stunning on clear day, but be ready for hard work and sweat to make it to the top of the trail. If you are visiting the park this week, be prepared for hot summer like temperatures. Highs through Friday will be in the 90s, with some rain possible in the mountains.
