AMOCA announces 2024-25 artists in residence
The American Museum of Ceramic Art, 399 N. Garey Ave., Pomona, has announced its artists in residence for 2024-2025. They are Mary Cale Wilson of San Diego, Reniel Del Rosario of Vallejo, Stephanie Kim of Rancho Cucamonga, and Michelle Solorzano of Bloomington, Indiana.
Wilson, a University of Georgia and San Diego State University alumna who was featured in the 76th Scripps Ceramics Annual, will be in residence from April to August. Solorzano, a figurative ceramic sculptor in her last semester of graduate school at Indiana University, comes to town from August to July 2025. Del Rosario, a UC Berkeley alumnus who has been featured at the 79th Scripps Ceramics Annual, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and other museums, shows from September to August 2025. Kim, a software engineer and ceramic artist who has exhibited work in juried exhibitions across the United States, will be in house from October to March 2025.
Launched in 2012, the artist in residence program at AMOCA is a long-term fellowship opportunity for ceramic artists to produce or develop a new body of work while also participating in AMOCA’s programs.
