City, CUSD contest focuses on human rights, social justice
The City of Claremont and Claremont Unified School District invite local students to submit individual letters, essays, multimedia presentations, or group artistic works in the 34th annual Making Change contest.
The annual competition focuses on champions of human rights and social justice and “presents an opportunity for Claremont students to honor and remember all that these advocates of social change have done to transform our world for the better,” read a news release.
Kindergarteners through high school seniors who live in or attend school in Claremont may participate. All entries must be submitted electronically at ci.claremont.ca.us/makingchange by Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
Winners will be presented with a certificate and a $100 check at an award ceremony on February 26, 2024.
